SUMMARY:At the Ready: Reliability and the California Grid
DESCRIPTION:California has many grid stability challenges: aging power plants, increasing electrification of transportation and buildings, and periodic heat events that have everyone wanting to crank up their air conditioners. As California grapples with these energy concerns, how can the nation’s largest state ensure its grid remains reliable during this period of instability? \nSVLG members are invited to join SVLG for a roundtable with Commissioner Siva Gunda to discuss these important issues. Siva is Vice Chair of the California Energy Commission (CEC), and serves as its Lead Commissioner for Energy Reliability.
