Lamar is a proud United States Navy veteran and a graduate of George Washington University in Washington, DC. Today, Lamar serves as Executive Director of the Los Medanos Community Healthcare District in the San Francisco Bay Area. And in 2020, Lamar was elected the 41st Mayor of the City of Antioch, one of California’s oldest cities and fastest-growing in the San Francisco Bay Area with a population of over 115,000 people; Antioch has become the heart of Eastern Contra Costa County, offering a variety of employment, shopping, and vast recreational activities.\nAbout SB 2\nSB 2 amends the Tom Bane Civil Rights Act, bringing accountability standards and processes around who is eligible to be a member of the law enforcement community and how serious claims of officer misconduct are investigated and remedied.
