DESCRIPTION:The Silicon Valley Leadership Group will be hosting a virtual Local Government Day Roundtable with Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf on Tuesday, August 17th from 10:00am to 11:00am.\nThis event will provide the opportunity to hear from Mayor Schaaf about her experiences in leading the city through the pandemic, her plans for the remainder of the year as we continue through COVID recovery, and other topics of interest related to housing, transportation, racial justice & equity, and more. We will also hold time for Q&A.\nBIO\nSchaaf was born in Oakland and is a graduate of Skyline High School. She holds a B.A. in political science from Rollins College and a J.D. from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.
