The Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization. The Foundation works to strengthen our communities and improve the quality of life in the region by raising and distributing funds for food, clothing, shelter, medical care, education and other needs.

Making A Measurable Impact In Our Community

The foundation supports activities that encourage a strong sense of community. It also serves as a forum for nonpartisan research and analysis of public policy issues affecting the area, including education, energy, environmental protection, health, housing, land use, transportation, and racial justice and equity. It focuses on providing financial and promotional assistance to charities, business and community leaders, scholars, and other groups that support its mission.



The foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization. The board is a group of dedicated business and community leaders from Silicon Valley and it works closely with the Silicon Valley Leadership Group.

Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot

The Applied Materials Silicon Valley Turkey Trot benefits local charities, including the Healthier Kids Foundation, Housing, Second Harvest of Silicon Valley, Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County and HomeFirst. Founded in 2005, the Silicon Valley Turkey Trot has donated over $13 million to support those most in need in our communities and is the largest Thanksgiving Day race in the country.

Lumentum Heart & Soles Run

In 2024 the Silicon Valley Leadership Group Foundation, in partnership with the Santa Clara County Office of Education, created the Heart & Soles Run. Since then, the race has raised more than $1 Million to benefit children’s health and wellness in Silicon Valley.

Santa Run Silicon Valley

The Santa Run Silicon Valley was founded to support Christmas in the Park and help grow a strong sense of community in downtown San Jose. Since its founding, over $800,000 has been raised to keep these cherished holiday traditions alive in San Jose. This 5K run and walk is fun for the whole family. Runners dress up as their favorite holiday characters or traditions. The racecourse winds through downtown San Jose and concludes at Christmas in the Park, where participants can enjoy the festivities!
